Ingersoll-Rand Mechanical Fragmentation Laboratory

This laboratory consists of some of the finest laboratory drilling equipment available in any academic institution. The drilling test stand, which is completely instrumented, permits drilling in up to a cubic yard of rock, while recording values of various drilling parameters. This modern laboratory is available to students for class demonstrations, experiments, and graduate research. The equipment in this laboratory was designed, constructed, and donated by the Ingersoll-Rand Company.
